This is a great opportunity for an experienced Estimator who enjoys getting into the detail of how a project will actually be built, rather than simply pricing from historical rates.

You'll join a multi generational Queensland contractor delivering projects across civil infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy and commercial construction.

The Role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you'll take ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to submission, working closely with project delivery teams to prepare accurate, commercially sound estimates.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Completing detailed quantity take-offs and first-principles estimates
- Developing labour, plant and construction methodologies




- Preparing supplier and subcontractor enquiries
- Assessing quotations and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Preparing project programmes and estimating construction durations
- Preparing accurate tender submissions and supporting documentation
- Assisting with procurement and post-award commercial activities, including variations
- Developing tender strategies and identifying commercial risks and opportunities

About You We're interested in speaking with estimators from a variety of construction backgrounds.

You may currently be estimating civil infrastructure, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, utilities or construction projects. What matters most is your ability to understand construction methodology, accurately measure quantities and prepare commercially sound estimates.

You'll ideally bring:

- Experience preparing end-to-end tenders within a contractor environment
- Strong first-principles estimating and quantity take-off capability
- The ability to interpret drawings, specifications and construction methodologies
- Commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail
- Confidence building relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and project teams
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
