How you’ll make an impact

Reporting to the Manager Finance, the Senior Finance Officer will provide qualified financial administration, reporting, compliance and business support services across Council's Finance function. This position is offered on a 2 year term contract.

The Senior Finance Officer will support the delivery of financial reporting, budget monitoring, statutory compliance, investment administration, project expenditure monitoring, rates and revenue activities, financial systems maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives. The role works collaboratively with managers and Business Partners across Council to provide accurate and timely financial information to support operational and strategic decision-making.

This position offers a salary ranging from $72,897 to $93,428 gross per annum, plus superannuation (12 per cent), with commencing salary dependant on qualifications, skills and experience.

What you’ll bring to our team To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

- A Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, Accounting Administration, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline

- Experience in finance, accounting, payroll, rates, revenue or administrative functions.





- Experience preparing reconciliations, journals and maintaining General Ledger integrity.

- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills including data analysis, reporting and reconciliation functions.
