This role sits within the Business Enablement legal team, supporting key business areas to deliver on their strategic objectives while maintaining strong governance and compliance.

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you'll be a trusted advisor to the business, partnering with leaders to navigate legal and regulatory complexity while supporting strategic priorities and commercial outcomes.

Note - this is a 12 month max-term contract to cover a period of parental leave.

What you'll do

- Provide commercially focused legal advice across the business
- Advise on regulatory, licensing, consumer law, and commercial matters
- Support litigation and dispute resolution activities
- Identify legal risks and develop practical solutions
- Manage relationships with external legal providers
- Build trusted partnerships with stakeholders across the business
- Deliver legal training and capability-building initiatives
- Contribute to knowledge management and continuous improvement across the legal team

What you'll bring

- A degree in Law and admission as a solicitor in Queensland (or eligibility to be admitted)
- Several years post-qualification experience
- Experience in one or more of: commercial contracts, competition and consumer law, franchising, privacy,



intellectual property or gambling regulation highly regarded
- Experience advising businesses operating in complex regulatory environments
- Strong commercial judgement and risk management capability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- The ability to balance autonomy with strong collaboration and teamwork
