Child Care Centre Manager

We are seeking a high-calibre leader, experienced and passionate Child Care Centre Manager to lead our beautiful purpose-built exceeding service in the heart of Belconnen. This role is a permanent role.

Working closely with the Approved Provider, you will play a key role in leading our team, driving quality outcomes, supporting families, and ensuring every child experiences a secure, nurturing, and inspiring early learning environment. You will be supported by a high staff retention team, and experienced and collaborative leadership team, including a dedicated Educational Leader, Floor Supervisor, and Company Compliance Officer, allowing you to focus on leading the service, mentoring educators, supporting families, and driving quality outcomes across the centre.

Buds & Bees Early Learning Centre is a family-owned and operated early learning service located in Belconnen Town Centre ( Address: 8 Chandler Street, Belconnen, ACT-2617). Licensed for 100 children across four learning environments, our purpose-built centre has been thoughtfully designed to provide high-quality education and care in a welcoming and engaging setting. About the role

We're looking for a leader who will continue to nurture and strengthen our established team, champion high-quality educational practices, support ongoing professional growth, and build on our culture of excellence. You will inspire educators, foster strong relationships with families, and lead continuous improvement to ensure the best outcomes for children, families, and our community.

What You'll Be Doing

· Direct and lead by example, inspiring a team of dedicated educators to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care.

· Develop and implement programs that support the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children.

· Provide high-quality education and care that promotes children's wellbeing, learning, and development.

· Support pedagogy, curriculum planning, programming, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.





· Build strong and positive partnerships with children, families, staff, and the wider community.

· Maintain compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Regulations, and service policies and procedures.

· Recruit, mentor, and support educators through ongoing coaching, professional development, and performance management.

· Foster a positive workplace culture where all team members feel valued, respected, and supported.

· Oversee centre operations, occupancy, service excellence, and the effective management of records and accounts.

· Ensure a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for children, staff, families, and visitors.

· Lead continuous improvement processes and coordinate preparations for Assessment and Rating visits.

· Monitor and maintain high standards of education, care, health, safety, and operational excellence across the service.

What You’ll Bring

· Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) (Bachelors Highly Desirable )

· Previous experience in a leadership or management role

· Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Child Safe Standards

· Excellent communication and leadership skills

· Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates

· Child Protection qualification (CHCPRT025 or equivalent)

Are not confident communicating with families, educators, and regulatory authorities

growth

Are uncomfortable providing feedback, coaching, and support to educators

Prefer a role with limited responsibility for leadership, culture, and service operations

Can't work on floor if required
