Clinical Lead - Positive Behaviour Support
Rockingham / Baldivis, WA
$120,000 - $130,000 + super
Reduced caseload + dedicated clinical leadership time
Are you an experienced PBS Practitioner who loves helping other practitioners become really good at what they do?
Behaviour Bridge is growing, and we're looking for a Clinical Lead - Positive Behaviour Support to join our team.
This role is a little different.
We're not looking for someone to simply manage KPIs, check reports and oversee a caseload.
We're looking for someone who gets genuinely excited about developing practitioners .
Someone who loves sitting down with a practitioner and unpacking a complex case.
Someone who can help turn assessment data into a strong behavioural formulation.
Someone who enjoys reviewing a BSP and giving feedback that actually teaches the practitioner why something could be done differently.
And someone who wants to help build a PBS team known for exceptional clinical practice.
The role
You'll initially provide clinical leadership and supervision to a small team of approximately 3 PBS practitioners , with the team expected to grow to approximately 5-8 practitioners .
You'll maintain your own reduced clinical caseload , while having protected time for supervision, practitioner development and clinical leadership.
As the team grows, we expect your caseload to reduce further so you can dedicate more time to developing and supporting the team.
Your role will include:
• Regular clinical supervision and mentoring
• Complex case consultation and clinical formulation
• Supporting functional behaviour assessments and data-driven decision making
• Reviewing Behaviour Support Plans and providing meaningful developmental feedback
• Supporting practitioners with restrictive practice reduction
• Building practitioner capability in line with the NDIS PBS Capability Framework
• Supporting new practitioners through onboarding and development
• Facilitating case discussions and reflective practice
• Identifying individual practitioner development needs
• Developing and delivering internal clinical training
• Supporting consistency and clinical quality across the PBS team
• Maintaining a reduced caseload so you remain connected to practice
• Working closely with Behaviour Bridge leadership to continue developing our clinical systems and approach
What matters to us
At Behaviour Bridge, practitioner development is a huge priority.
We don't want practitioners to feel like they've been handed a caseload and left to figure things out.
We want our practitioners to understand behaviour deeply.
We want them to be curious.
We want them to know how to conduct meaningful assessments, analyse behaviour, develop evidence-based interventions and confidently explain the why behind their recommendations.
Most importantly, we want them to feel supported while they're developing those skills.
That's where you come in.
Who we're looking for
You'll be an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with robust clinical skills and a genuine interest in developing others.
You don't necessarily need to have spent years in a formal management position.
We care much more about whether you can teach, mentor, challenge and support practitioners well.
Ideally, you'll bring:
• Strong experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support
• Proficient or higher practitioner suitability
• Strong functional behaviour assessment and behavioural formulation skills
• Experience with complex behavioural presentations
• Sound understanding of restrictive practices and NDIS requirements
• Confidence reviewing and providing feedback on Behaviour Support Plans
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
• Experience supervising or mentoring practitioners
• A warm, supportive leadership style while still maintaining high clinical standards
• Genuine curiosity and commitment to evidence-based practice
Above all, we're looking for someone who loves seeing other practitioners grow.
Why Behaviour Bridge?
We're a growing PBS organisation, which means this isn't a role where you're stepping into a rigid system and being told how things have always been done.
You'll have the opportunity to help shape it.
You'll work closely with leadership to influence how we approach supervision, practitioner development, clinical training and quality as our team continues to grow.
We want this person to become a key part of the clinical leadership of Behaviour Bridge.
You'll have a voice here.
And if you've ever thought:
"I love PBS, but I'd really like the opportunity to mentor practitioners and influence clinical quality without giving up clinical work completely..."
We'd really like to hear from you.
