DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To be a member of a team of Leisure Assistants reporting to the Duty Manager, ensuring the smooth day to day operation of Perth Leisure Pool.

Operational Duties

Key Tasks

- You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the desired image of Perth Leisure Pool through a welcoming, friendly approach to all customers
- To be a member of a team trained in accident prevention, aquatic rescue and first aid
- To ensure the safety of customers through encouraging protected recreation and activity
- To carry out rescues and to administer remedial treatment as may be defined in the Normal Operating Procedure and Emergency Action Plan
- To maintain a high standard of cleanliness both within and outside the pool at all times. This will include public toilets, shower areas, main concourse, cafeteria, bar, staff areas and outdoors




- To assist with the setting out and clearing away of equipment and furniture

Other Tasks

Key Tasks

- To assist with the teaching of lessons and classes as required

Health and Safety

Key Tasks

- To comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all supplementary legislation

Training

Key Tasks

- To attend regular staff training sessions, be they held in in-house or externally
- To maintain the standard required for the current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

General

Key Tasks

- To undertake other related duties as may be required by the Company
- Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines
- To carry out other reasonable duties as may be required
