Psychologist / Social Worker (Early Intervention Parenting Clinician)

Remuneration:$40.35 - $58.59 per hour + 12.75% super
The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Psychologists / Social Workers (Early Intervention Parenting Clinician) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Deliver skilled level services to families with children aged 0-6 years of age, presenting with complex needs
- Effectively manage a clinical caseload of clients, providing evidence-based clinical interventions
- Apply clinical judgement and knowledge to more complex clinical decision making
- Recognises and engages actively with learning opportunities in everyday work
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Possession of a tertiary degree in Psychology, Social Work, or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or associated boards.
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Base salary ranging from $40.35 - $58.59 per hour

Community Child Health (CCH) service sits within the division of Women Newborn and Children’s Services, offering multidisciplinary, community services for children who reside in the Gold Coast area.
CCH is a child centred, family focused health service, which includes promotion of health and development, early detection, early intervention, and care coordination. This is achieved through enhancing opportunities for families to access support, developing relationships with community groups, building confidence and capability, and enhancing relationships between children and parents.
