Who are we looking for? We are seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to join Human Resources, People Services, Administrative Division. The Senior Payroll Officer coordinates the activities of a team of payroll and superannuation staff to ensure the effective payment of all employees of the University. The position liaises with a wide variety of internal and external contacts including senior managers at Faculty and Divisional levels, providing advice and ensuring all QUT agreements and policies are met.

What You Need To Succeed

- Education,



training and/or experience equivalent to the completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise a team to ensure the provision of a quality client focused service.
- High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior managers, quickly establish rapport and manage collaborative working relationships.
- Highly developed coordination skills with the ability to effectively analyse and solve complex problems, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated experience with Human Resources Information System and large complex HR/Payroll or similar networked corporate payroll system.
- Proven ability to initiate and contribute to business and process improvement.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
