Senior Project Manager - Local Government

Lead projects. Lead people. Make things happen.

Adelaide based | Fortnightly travel | Projects up to $5M

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its growing Local Government team, supporting long term regional council partnerships within South Australia.

This is a hands on project delivery role for someone who enjoys managing multiple projects, leading teams and seeing things through from scoping to completion.

Working closely with the Sector Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of projects valued up to $5 million, while building strong relationships with the client and delivery teams.

What you'll do

- Manage multiple projects from scoping and procurement through to delivery, handover and close out

- Lead project teams, contractors and consultants

- Manage scope, program, budget, risk and quality

- Oversee procurement, contract administration, variations and change control

- Coordinate contractors and site activities

- Provide clear reporting to clients and senior stakeholders

- Support the Sector Manager with team leadership and day to day delivery

What we're looking for

You're a strong project manager first and foremost, with the confidence to take ownership and drive projects to completion.

You'll bring

- 10 years' experience in project management and delivery

- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently, ideally up to $5M in value





- Demonstrated experience leading project teams, contractors and consultants

- Strong procurement, contract administration and commercial skills

- Excellent project scheduling, risk and cost management capability
- A qualification in engineering, construction, project management or a related technical discipline, with engineering qualifications highly regarded

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- Local Government, utilities or infrastructure experience advantageous

- Asset management experience preferred but not essential

- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel

- National Police Check and White Card

- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
