Company Description

Queensland Ecologists is a full-service ecological consulting group operating across Queensland, providing expert advice to public and private sector clients. The team delivers evidence-based ecological assessments and monitoring to support sustainable land use and development. Services typically include biodiversity surveys, habitat assessments, and environmental impact evaluations tailored to local ecosystems.

The organisation values scientific rigor, practical solutions, and collaboration with stakeholders to achieve positive environmental outcomes.

Role Description The Consulting Field Ecologist role is a full-time or part-time remote position responsible for conducting ecological field surveys and preparing professional reports for a range of projects.

Day-to-day activities include planning and undertaking field work, collecting and analysing data on flora, fauna, and habitats, and contributing to environmental impact assessments.

The role involves liaising with project managers and clients, interpreting regulatory requirements, and ensuring that findings are clearly documented in written reports and mapping outputs. The ecologist will also support project design, contribute to proposals, and participate in team meetings and ongoing career development, while working safely and independently in varied field environments.
