SMS was founded in WA in 2001 as Scaffolding Management Services. Since its inception, SMS has steadily expanded to become SMS Group Services, providing a diverse range of services to the mining and construction industry.

Full time position available

SMS is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Painting Trades Worker for a permanent full time position to work at various work site locations within Western Australia, including Kwinana.

Duties of this role include:

- Erecting scaffolding, ladders and access equipment
- Preparation of surfaces and repairing substrate defects
- Selecting paints and coatings to specifications
- Using brushes, rollers, spray and blasting equipment.
- Cleaning equipment and work areas on completion of works

Criteria

- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (CPC30620), a comparable AQF Certificate III (e.g. Surface Preparation and Coating Application), or a positive Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) skills assessment / RPL
- Working at Heights Licence
- Enter and Work in confined spaces
- White Card
- EWP / LF, MSIC Qualifications
- Verification of Competency within the last 30 days (or able to pass on assessment)




- Minimum of 2 year's painting experience in the last 5 years
- Valid WA driver's license
- Evidence of Australian Passport, Birth Certificate or Australian Citizenship
- National Police Clearance

Rosters may include a combination of:

- 5 days on and 2 days off
- 8 days on and 6 days off
- any variable in accordance with contract requirements

Starting wages equate to $86,000 per annum.
