We have a unique opportunity for a finance professional be a proactive member of the executive team and part of building our future.

This is a critical multi-functional role working closely with the CEO and Director of Nursing. The position oversees the finance, administration and information technology functions across the hospital and is pivotal as we look to the future of financial management and digital transformation.

About the Role

Reporting to the CEO, you will be accountable for:

- Ensuring accuracy of the Hospital’s finances and financial reporting; preparing monthly financials, analysis, budgets and future planning; as-required reports for relevant parties.

- Efficient management of the finance and administration processes and non-clinical functions that support the Hospital and clinical teams.

- Day-to-day management of the IT functions and programs and implementation of new IT projects.

- Day-to-day management of staff across the Finance and Administration functions.

- Liaison with external third parties regarding contracts management.

The role encompasses multiple areas of the non-clinical operations of the Hospital including General Finance, Payroll, Information Technology, Medical Records and Coding, Administration, Contract Management, and Personnel Management (Finance & Administration).

About You

CA or CPA qualified , with the following knowledge and experience also required:

- Experience at a senior level in a finance position.

- Management of a group of staff.

- Customer focused experience.

- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) and IT systems.

- Experience with MYOB is desirable.

- Experience in a healthcare environment is desirable.

- Provision of a current National Criminal History Check.

- Demonstrate a commitment to the Work Health and Safety (WHS) responsibilities as defined in State legislation and Hospital policies.

About Us

Glenelg Community Hospital is located in the seaside suburb of Glenelg South and is fully licensed with inpatient rooms, day surgery, two operating theatres, and an endoscopy suite. The Hospital provides planned day and short stay elective surgical services to the community including general surgery, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, oral, plastic and reconstructive amongst others.
