About the role

AAA Windscreens & Tinting WANGARA is seeking an experienced Automotive Glazier / Windscreen Fitter to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on, skilled position based in Wangara, WA 6065, where you will be responsible for the professional installation, repair, and replacement of automotive glass components/ heavy vehicle machinery. As an Automotive Glazier, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and integrity of vehicles whilst delivering high-quality service to our customers. This position offers the opportunity to work within a trusted automotive service provider, utilizing your expertise and technical skills on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities

- Install, repair, and replace windscreens, side windows, and rear windows on a variety of vehicle types with precision and attention to detail

- Prepare vehicle openings and frames to ensure proper fit and seal of glass components

- Apply appropriate sealants, adhesives, and weatherproofing materials to guarantee safety and weathertightness

- Conduct quality inspections of all work to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer expectations

- Operate specialised automotive glazing equipment and tools safely and effectively

- Manage inventory of glass components, sealants, and materials, alerting management when stock levels require replenishment

- Communicate effectively with customers regarding glass replacement needs, timelines, and aftercare instructions

- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working setting in compliance with health and safety regulations

- Document all work completed,



including materials used and time spent on each job

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as an Automotive Glazier or Windscreen Fitter, demonstrating competency in glass installation and repair

- Knowledge of various vehicle types, glass specifications, and automotive safety standards relevant to windscreen fitting

- Proficiency with automotive glazing tools and equipment, including glass cutters, sealant applicators, and pressure testing devices

- Understanding of proper sealing and adhesive techniques to ensure watertight and secure installations

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work to precise measurements and specifications

- Physical fitness and the ability to work in various positions, including overhead and in confined spaces

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly with clients

- A commitment to health and safety practices and the ability to work safely at heights when required

- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work

- A current driver's licence - Manual and Automatic

- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive glazing are highly valued
