Medical Receptionist – Coral Coast Doctors

About the role

Coral Coast Doctors is looking for a friendly, professional and patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team.

As one of the first points of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience while providing high-quality administrative support to our doctors, nurses and wider practice team.

What you'll be doing

- Welcoming patients to the practice in a warm, friendly and professional manner

- Managing patient appointments, bookings, arrivals and departures efficiently

- Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries

- Providing patients with clear and helpful information about our services

- Processing payments and assisting with billing and Medicare requirements

- Maintaining accurate and confidential patient information and records

- Supporting doctors and nurses with day-to-day administrative tasks

- Completing general reception duties including data entry, scanning, filing and correspondence

- Ensuring the reception and waiting areas are clean, organised and welcoming

- Following practice policies, procedures and privacy requirements

- Working collaboratively with the wider team to support the smooth operation of the practice

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone who is:

- Experienced in medical reception, healthcare administration or a similar customer service environment

- Warm, approachable and genuinely enjoys helping people

- Professional and confident when communicating with patients, doctors and colleagues





- Highly organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities

- Comfortable working in a busy healthcare environment

- Confident using computers and able to learn new medical software and systems

- Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy and confidentiality

- A positive team player who is willing to support others

- Committed to providing a high standard of patient care and customer service

Previous medical reception experience is highly regarded, however, we are also interested in hearing from applicants with solid customer service and administration experience who are keen to develop their career in general practice.
