About the role
Komform Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Concreters to join our team on a casual basis . This is a hands-on role within the building trades sector, based in Townsville, Queensland . As a Concreter, you will play a vital role in the construction and finishing of concrete footpaths, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality concrete works that form the foundation of our building projects.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing concrete surfaces and site areas for concrete placement

- Pouring concrete in accordance with specifications and safety standards

- Levelling, smoothing and finishing concrete surfaces to the required standard

- Operating concrete machinery and equipment safely and efficiently

- Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and technical drawings

- Installing formwork and temporary structures to support concrete placement

- Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes and safety regulations

- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition

- Communicating effectively with supervisors and other team members on site

- Adhering to site safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Concreter in the building trades industry

- Knowledge of concrete pouring and finishing techniques

- Competency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications

- Physical fitness and the ability to work in varying weather conditions

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship





- Familiarity with relevant safety standards and building codes

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Reliability and punctuality, particularly important for casual work arrangements

- Current or willingness to obtain relevant certifications such as White Card or equivalent health and safety training

- Experience with concrete finishing methods such as trowelling, broom finishing or decorative finishes is desirable
