The Opportunities

SMS Geotechnical is seeking experienced Senior Soil Technicians for a variety of roles, including:

- Adelaide metropolitan positions
- Northern Territory opportunities
- Port Lincoln
- Whyalla
- Annexe Laboratory positions
- FIFO opportunities

Depending on the position, you will undertake a combination of laboratory and field-based testing,



supporting major civil, mining and construction projects.

About You

To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Current Radiation Use Licence and demonstrated experience operating a Portable Nuclear Density Gauge
- Proven experience in laboratory and field testing of soil and aggregate to Australian Standards
- Current South Australian Driver's Licence and the ability to drive a manual vehicle
- Current Construction Industry White Card
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques would be advantageous
- Good communication and basic computer skills
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
- A reliable, hardworking and honest approach
- The ability to follow instructions and work to established procedures
- Willingness to work various shifts, including away and FIFO opportunities where required
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding, field-based environment
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
