Liverpool Plains Shire Council is seeking an innovative and talented Brand and Communications Specialist to lead the development of our visual identity, digital communications and marketing initiatives. This position is offered on a 2 year term contract.

In this role, you'll be at the centre of Council's communications function, creating everything from major corporate publications and strategic plans through to social media campaigns, websites, videos, advertisements and community engagement materials. No two days will be the same. The position is responsible for Council's branding, graphic design, digital communications, website content and social media presence, ensuring a consistent and professional image across all communication channels.

What You'll Be Doing

You will:

• Lead the ongoing development and implementation of Council's corporate, destination and liveability brands.
• Design and produce high-quality annual reports, strategic plans, corporate publications and marketing collateral.
• Create engaging content across social media, websites, digital advertising and other communication channels.




• Develop graphics, videos, promotional campaigns and community engagement materials.
• Manage and enhance Council's websites and digital platforms.
• Provide specialist advice on branding, graphic design, digital communications and marketing initiatives.
• Work collaboratively across the organisation to bring projects, programs and initiatives to life through effective communication and design.
• Help tell the story of Liverpool Plains Shire and build awareness of Council services, projects and community initiatives.

About You

We're looking for a creative professional who combines exceptional design skills with robust communication and digital capability. You'll bring experience in graphic design, content creation, website management and social media, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.

You'll be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and have a genuine passion for creating engaging, professional and meaningful content. You'll enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders, translating complex information into visually engaging content and finding new ways to connect with communities through digital channels. Experience in local government will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Salary and Flexibility

This position offers an attractive salary package of up to $93,000 per annum, plus 12% superannuation. The commencing salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate and will be commensurate with their skills, experience and qualifications.



Council is prepared to consider a market loading or salary above the advertised range for an exceptional candidate with demonstrated experience in a similar role.

Council is committed to attracting the best talent and is open to considering full-time, part-time or flexible working arrangements for the right candidate. As the role is largely focused on digital communications, graphic design, website management and content creation, Council is also open to remote work arrangements from anywhere in Australia. This opportunity may suit candidates seeking flexibility while contributing to a progressive regional council. Occasional travel to Liverpool Plains Shire may be required.
