We are a family-owned residential building business based in Southern Tasmania, and due to our growing workload, we are looking for multiple carpentry apprentices to join our team.

We welcome applications from apprentices at any year level , including mature-age/adult apprentices , and are looking for the right people to become long-term members of our team.

For mature-age applicants in particular, previous experience or skills that transfer well to the building industry would be highly regarded. These may include:

- HR or MR truck licence
- Excavator or machinery experience
- Welding or fabrication skills
- Previous trade, construction or labouring experience
- Experience with tools, machinery or mechanical work
- Other practical skills relevant to residential construction

Our work is primarily throughout Southern Tasmania and the East Coast , however we undertake projects in other areas of Tasmania from time to time. Flexibility and a willingness to travel when required are therefore important.

What we’re looking for

The right applicants will:

- Have a genuine willingness to learn, develop their skills and build their knowledge of the carpentry and building trade
- Be responsible, honest, reliable and punctual, with a positive can-do attitude
- Have a strong work ethic and take pride in their work
- Enjoy practical, hands-on and manual work
- Be physically fit and capable of undertaking manual labour for extended periods
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment alongside carpenters, apprentices and other trades
- Be able to follow instructions, communicate effectively and work well as part of a team
- Be willing and able to adhere to Workplace Health and Safety procedures and Safe Work Practices
- Hold a Construction White Card , or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement
- Hold a current driver's licence and have access to a suitable, reliable vehicle ,



or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement
- Be flexible and willing to travel for work when required
- Be willing to progressively obtain the required tools throughout the apprenticeship – a tool list and requirements will be discussed prior to commencement

Previous construction or trade experience is an advantage, but not essential for the right applicant . Attitude, reliability, work ethic and a genuine willingness to learn are important to us.

We’re looking for people who want to learn the trade, develop a broad range of building skills and become valuable long-term members of our team .

What we offer

You’ll have the opportunity to gain experience across varied residential building work , develop a broad and practical skill set, and work on a range of projects and locations throughout Tasmania.

Multiple positions are available, and applicants at all apprentice year levels are encouraged to apply.

Wages and employment conditions will be in accordance with the applicable Building and Construction General On-site Award .

The applicable rate of pay will depend on factors including the successful applicant’s age and apprenticeship year/stage.
