About the role
AGL's Renewables team based at the Macarthur Wind Farm are looking for a Wind Turbine Technician to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our wind farms across Victoria, helping deliver AGL's vision for a sustainable future.
Location: Based at the Macarthur Wind Farm, located in southwest Victoria, the site consists of 140 wind turbine generators with a total capacity of 420 MW, making it one of the largest wind farms in the Southern Hemisphere and a major contributor to clean, renewable energy generation in Australia.
This is a hands-on technical role focused on maintaining and servicing wind farm assets to ensure reliability, safety, and optimal performance.

What you will be doingPerform routine and breakdown maintenance, servicing, inspection, and monitoring of wind farm assetsPrepare work records and reports, including input into SAPAdhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)



systems and AGL's safety standardsConduct Hazard Risk Analysis and Job Safety Analysis as requiredEnsure compliance with Secure Access Rules and participate in toolbox and safety meetingsReceive Access Authorities and progress to Recipient In Charge (RIC) if requiredSupervise contractors and service providers to ensure safe and high-quality workProvide and receive on-the-job training, mentoring team members to maintain high skill and safety standardsDemonstrate AGL values by collaborating across the business and contributing to overall success
What you will bring
Electrical Trade qualification.HV certification (preferred but not essential)Experience working with HV/LV systems, hydraulics, or mechanical systems in industrial, commercial, or residential environmentsUnderstanding of wind farm operations and maintenance that supports safe and efficient performanceSelf-motivated with strong time-management skillsEnjoys working both independently and collaborativelyHolds a valid Victorian driver's licenceIs comfortable working at heights and in confined spacesAdditional desirable qualifications:
GWO training, working at heights, manual handling, HV/LV rescue, fire awareness, first aid.
