- Our practitioners hold a caseload of participants in their local area which they are expected to visit in-person as required. This role is not suitable for applicants who are unable to complete in-person visits in the Newcastle/Hunter/Lake Macquarie or Central Coast/Gosford areas.
- All indirect work (e.g. report writing) is completed from your own home.
- Paid mileage allowance (where no pool car available)

Qualifications & experience
- Must have current registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner. We will not be considering applications for practitioners who do not have a current registration.
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
- Tertiary qualifications in allied health or related discipline (e.g., Psychology,
Behavioural Science, Social Work, Education) and / or relevant experience.
- Experience completing functional assessments and writing Behaviour Support Plans (deidentified work samples may be required during interview process).
- Experience supporting participants with Restrictive Practices and thorough knowledge of NDIS guidelines for Restrictive Practices.
- Experience working with a range of intellectual, developmental and psychosocial disabilities.
- Experience managing your own calendar to ensure timeframes and deadlines are met.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Working collaboratively with participants, their families, and other stakeholders to support participants to achieve their goals.
- Engaging directly with participants and their carers to create Behaviour Support Plans which reflect participant goals.
- Conducting comprehensive functional assessments.
- Providing training and ongoing support to implementers of Behaviour Support Plans.
- Identifying, reporting and monitoring Restrictive Practices, including facilitating relevant data collection.
- Adherence to NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
- Attendance at regular clinical supervision, including group supervision with other Behaviour Support Practitioners.
