About the role

We are a leading sub-contractor specialising in data centre construction projects, and we are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee complex builds from planning through to handover. This role requires solid leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for data centre builds.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets, track costs, and ensure financial targets are met.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, general contractors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and execution.




- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, and client specifications.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Procurement & Contract Management: Source materials, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
- Team Leadership: Supervise site teams, allocate tasks, and ensure productivity and safety on-site.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management and clients on project status, milestones, and challenges.
- Change Management: Handle scope changes, variations, and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
- Technical Oversight: Review drawings, specifications, and ensure installation quality.
- Key relationships: Dealers and partners across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

Work Experience and Skills

- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in data centre or critical infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Aconex, Procore or similar).
