Scope of Work:

Due to continued growth and recent project awards, NRW Civil &Mining; are seeking an experienced Services Manager to join ourhigh-performing Civil team on major infrastructure projects. TheServices Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management,coordination and delivery of utility and underground/overheadservices packages across major civil infrastructure projects,including roads, rail, bridges, light rail and majorearthworks.

Working closely with project teams, design consultants, clients,local authorities and third-party utility asset owners, you willplay a key role in ensuring service relocations, protection worksand new installations are delivered safely, on time, within budgetand in accordance with approved designs, specifications andregulatory requirements.

To be considered for the position as a Services Manager you must possess the following as a minimum:

- Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or equivalenttechnical experience, or a suitable trade qualification such asan electrical trade
- Minimum 8 years' experience within the civil infrastructureindustry, with at least 3-5 years' experience specialising inutility/services coordination or management
- Demonstrated experience working on major infrastructureprojects, including roadways, rail networks, urbanredevelopment or major earthworks
- Strong understanding of utility asset owner standards,technical guidelines, approval processes and requirements
- Demonstrated experience coordinating with utilityauthorities and third-party service providers including power,water, gas, telecommunications, stormwater and sewerauthorities
- Experience managing utility relocations, serviceprotection,



new installations and complex serviceinterfaces
- Strong understanding of service proving and investigationmethodologies, including potholing, GPR and Dial Before You Diginformation
- Proficient in CAD/BIM software, with experience usingplatforms such as Navisworks, MicroStation or AutoCAD forutility modelling and clash detection
- Robust understanding of construction sequencing and theintegration of services works into broader projectprograms
- Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors, workscopes, tenders and commercial arrangements
- Solid understanding of risk management associated withutility interfaces, service disruptions and potential projectdelays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with theability to build effective relationships with clients, utilityauthorities, subcontractors and project teams
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectivelywithin a broader project team
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and environmentalrequirements

Reporting to the Project Manager or section lead, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

- Act as the primary point of contact for third-party utilityasset owners, including power, water, gas andtelecommunications authorities
- Obtain, manage and track utility authority approvals,permits, access agreements and connection requirements
- Coordinate third-party utility crews and subcontractorsundertaking diversion, protection and connection works
- Review designs, drawings,



Dial Before You Dig documentationand utility information to identify potential serviceclashes
- Coordinate service investigations including potholing, GPRand service proving to establish accurate utilitylocations
- Work with design teams to develop practical andconstructible service diversion and protection solutions
- Develop and maintain the services relocation schedule andintegrate services activities into the overall projectprogram
- Prepare scopes of work, assist with tender evaluations andmanage subcontractors delivering utility works
- Monitor expenditure, variations and risks associated withutility interfaces and potential project delays
- Conduct field inspections to ensure services works complywith approved designs, specifications and utility ownerrequirements
- Manage high-risk utility interfaces including Permit-to-Digrequirements and exclusion zones around high-voltage powerlinesand high-pressure gas mains
- Provide technical and construction support to Engineers,Supervisors and project personnel
