: Social Media & Content Creation Intern / Assistant (Fashion)

About Karegar

Karegar is a growing South Asian fashion brand dedicated to exquisite aesthetics, quality craftsmanship, and timeless elegance. We are seeking a creative, proactive, and fashion-forward Marketing or Social Media student to take ownership of our day-to-day visual storytelling across Instagram and TikTok.

Role Overview

- Position: Social Media & Content Creator (Casual / Student Intern)
- Location: Remote / Hybrid (Must attend weekly content shoots at our Port Melbourne studio)
- Compensation: $500 per month stipend
- Hours & Schedule:
- Weekly 1-hour studio shoot in Port Melbourne (Wednesdays or Thursdays after 3:00 PM, reconfirmed weekly).
- Weekly Strategy Call on Monday optional Wednesday check-in.
- Flexible hours for editing, scheduling, and posting.

Key Objectives
- Consistently produce polished, on-brand content that showcases Karegar’s collections beautifully.
- Grow brand awareness, engagement, and reach across Instagram and TikTok.
- Convert views and engagement into genuine customer inquiries, studio appointments, and online sales.
- Maintain an organized bank of high-quality content ready for publishing.

Key Responsibilities
- Content Strategy & Planning

- Participate in weekly strategy calls every Monday to outline priorities, campaign themes, and promotions.
- Research and implement relevant trends, audio, and content concepts while maintaining Karegar’s elevated brand identity.
- Prepare content calendars and write engaging, brand-aligned captions in advance.

Production & In office Filming
- Attend a weekly 1-hour filming session at the Port Melbourne studio (Wednesday or Thursday after 3:00 PM).
- Capture high-quality short-form video (Reels/TikToks) and lifestyle imagery featuring garments, detail close-ups, behind-the-scenes, and styling concepts.

3. Video Editing & Platform Management (CapCut)
- Edit raw video footage using CapCut (and/or Adobe Premiere Pro, InShot) into polished, high-converting Reels and TikToks—including seamless transitions, trending audio syncing, text overlays, and captions.
- Maintain a posting schedule of:
- 3 Instagram posts / Reels per week
- 3 TikTok posts per week
- Regular / Daily Instagram Stories
- Maintain an organized digital archive/content bank of ready-to-post assets.

4. Analytics & Ongoing Communication
- Monitor performance metrics (reach, engagement, inquiries, conversions) and use data insights to optimize future content.
- Maintain regular communication with the founder/management via WhatsApp and voice notes.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Local Availability: Currently studying or residing locally, with the ability to travel to Port Melbourne once a week for filming.
- Fashion & Aesthetic Eye: Strong passion for fashion, particularly South Asian luxury/couture aesthetics, with a sharp eye for visual detail, styling, and branding.
- Video Editing Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CapCut (or similar mobile/desktop editing software like Premiere Pro/InShot) to create fast-paced, engaging short-form video content.
