Work with some of Australia’s best hotels, restaurants, bars, breweries, bakeries, and travel destinations in this social media and content marketing role for storytellers at award-winning boutique marketing agency, Seven Storeys, based in Sydney.
Join our team of PR, content and marketing creatives to deliver a range of exciting, integrated campaigns and content opportunities for our partner brands and businesses in hospitality and travel, such as EVT, Kimpton Margot Sydney, Sofitel, Holiday Inn, Luke Mangan, Freshwater Brewing Co., and The Grumpy Baker.
This is a hands-on creative role, where you'll take content ideas from conception through to execution: researching trends and key search opportunities, writing scripts, shooting content, directing talent, editing video and images, and adapting creative for different platforms.
Key responsibilities:
- Feed into and manage marketing campaign and content calendars, identifying trends, key dates, topics and events to tap into
- Plan, create, curate and schedule social media content (posts, stories and reels) across a number of accounts, including filming, editing, and scheduling of video (primarily for Instagram but also TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Source user generated content and reshare on social media channels to maximise engagement and traffic growth
- Collaborate with and direct talent including chefs, bartenders, sommeliers, hotel managers, events planners, bakers, business owners, concierge teams, tour guides
- Connect with online community by responding to comments and direct messages, and proactively engaging with like accounts to drive conversation, engagement and increased awareness
- Create, manage and monitor paid social media campaigns and boosted posts
- Create copy and assets for campaigns and owned channels, working with Canva for graphical applications and materials
- Create email marketing content and campaigns including regular EDMs and automations (via MailChimp, Seven Rooms, Talkbox)
- Manage, optimise and update website content regularly, including creating blogs, What’s On pages,
and menu updates (via Squarespace, Wordpress, Elementor)
- Collaborate with content creators to produce fit-for-purpose content for resharing, reposting and reaching broader networks
- Conduct daily media and social media listening for mentions of clients, providing insightful analysis and data-driven reporting
- Keep on top of trends, topics and best practices in marketing to tap into or leverage and identify and proactively pursue influencer opportunities and collaborations
- Input into strategic planning, product development, partnerships and influencer engagement opportunities for clients, and new business opportunities for the agency
Ideally you will have:
- 2–4 years’ experience in a similar marketing, social media or content creation role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for storytelling and rapport building
- A genuine passion for social media, digital marketing and storytelling
- Strong short-form smartphone video shooting and editing skills
- Experience with Canva or similar
- An understanding of paid vs organic social media content and campaigns
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Confidence using - or quick to learn - tools like Meta Business Manager, TikTok Business Manager, WordPress, Canva, social media scheduling like Later or Sked
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- A passion for food, drink, travel and hospitality and a collaborative spirit
- An ability to think outside the square
