Profectus is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support a major modernisation program within the Australian Government. You will design and assure end to end ICT solutions that address business problems, working closely with subject matter experts, delivery teams and vendors. The work covers application, data, infrastructure, security and integration design, from early requirements through to implementation oversight.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, or assure the design of, ICT solutions and provide oversight through implementation
- Solicit, analyse and shape stakeholder requirements, maintaining traceability through to delivered outcomes
- Develop non functional requirements and confirm test strategies and plans address them
- Develop, communicate and validate solution designs with technical and business stakeholders
- Provide technical oversight of detailed design activities and build work performed by internal teams and vendors
- Provide technical leadership across systems integration activities
- Develop implementation and transition plans, and support project managers to convert technical plans into delivery schedules
- Produce high level and detailed solution architecture covering application, information, infrastructure, security and technology standards
- Assure third party designs to confirm they meet requirements and contribute to intended business outcomes
- Work with the Enterprise Architect and participate in peer review to keep designs aligned to the target architecture
- Prepare and shepherd architecture artefacts through design and architecture approval processes
- Coordinate technical work across teams and support continuous improvement of design practice

Required Experience

- Proven experience as a Solution Architect delivering ICT solutions in large, government environments
- Demonstrated ability to undertake solution options analysis and design sustainable,



value for money solutions that meet business needs
- Experience assuring the design of third party and vendor delivered solutions
- Solid knowledge across cloud and on premise design, including Azure
- Experience with service oriented architecture, micro services and systems integration design
- Data modelling experience and the ability to assure data designs against target business outcomes
- Experience preparing architecture artefacts and gaining approval through federal government governance processes
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to build trust and manage expectations across technical and non technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, prioritise a varied workload and respond positively to change
- Breadth of knowledge across applications, data, infrastructure, security, systems integration and ICT environments, with depth in one or more of these areas
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent demonstrated experience

Desirable Experience

- Experience on modernisation or transformation programs within the Australian Government
- Business process and workflow optimisation and automation
- Case management system design or uplift
- Information architecture and enterprise data design
- Implementation assurance, including oversight of build activity against approved designs
- Architecture certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar

Security Clearance Requirements

- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Must have a current AGSVA Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance
