Located in Forrestdale, StarAlum is a distributor of both imported and locally sourced aluminium extrusions and associated products. With a shared site and exposure to a broad range of industries, StarAlums name is a nationally recognised business of Aus Star Holdings International Pty Ltd, having warehouses in Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

StarAlum (Perth) has a permanent full time position available for a customer focused Store person. This varied role will require both autonomy and contribution to our small but dynamic team. The role is hands-on and requires a minimum one years experience in a similar role with forklift skills, whilst being physically capable of manually handling extrusions (typically <25 kgs).

To be successful in this role you will possess;

- A customer focused attitude and be a good communicator

- A motivated attitude with a proven track record for reliability and accountability with attention to detail

- A current forklift license with proven minimum two years' experience

- LF (Load Shifting Forklift) licence classification specifically required

- Previous experience in shipping container unloading (desirable)





- Physical attributes for manual handling (<25 kgs)

- Ability to adhere to WH&S; guidelines in a fast paced environment

- Australian work authorisation is required for this position

- Be conscious of site and personal presentation

- Must be able to commute to site for start of day.

Duties and Responsibilities will include (but not limited to);

- Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction

- Coordination of customer orders (Perth Metro and regional WA)

- Unloading of containers

- Make-up of customer orders

- Accurately maintain customer & warehouse paperwork

- Develop efficiencies (improvements) of operations

- Adherence to and promotion of WH&S; guidelines

- Site cleanliness and presentation

Work experience in this specific field is desirable though not critical. It is however critical the applicant possesses an ability and willingness to learn new skills whilst being versatile and enthusiastic. Applicants must hold a current Driver's License.
