The Role

As a Refrigeration Apprentice , you'll work alongside experienced technicians to install, maintain and commission commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems across a variety of sites.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop practical trade skills while completing your Tertiary Education studies. You'll receive structured on-the-job training, mentorship from industry experts, and exposure to cutting-edge building technologies that are helping shape smarter, more sustainable buildings.

No two days are the same. You'll be learning in the field, working with specialised equipment, and gaining experience that will set the foundation for a successful career in the HVAC&R; industry.

What We're Looking For

You don't need prior industry experience. We're looking for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Ideally, you'll have:

- A genuine interest in refrigeration, air conditioning, or mechanical trades

- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Robust attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work

- A positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced mentors





- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic

- A current driver's licence (or working towards obtaining one)

What You'll Learn

- Installation and commissioning of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems

- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans

- Safe use of tools, equipment and specialised trade technology

- Fault-finding and problem-solving techniques
