About Us
Nova Orthotics is a pioneering paediatric orthotic facility in Newcastle NSW. We have been operating for 10 years and are proud of our supportive and flexible workplace. We work a 4-day week (paid for 5!) to ensure a good work life balance. We employ 3 orthotists, 1 AHA, and 3 support staff.
We are passionate about working closely with the child, their family and therapy team to ensure the best outcomes possible.
Clinically focused and mindful of OH&S; exposure, all orthoses are individually modelled inhouse and then centrally fabricated. Apace with current technologies, supplying orthoses and FES systems, Nova has been supplying 3D printed orthoses for over 7 years.
A 2D video vector gait laboratory with force plates is installed on site for tuning AFOFC alongside gait specialist physiotherapists.
Wonderful Newcastle
Newcastle is located 2 hours north of Sydney in the picturesque Hunter Valley. With stunning beaches, wineries and a vibrant café and arts scene, Newcastle is small enough to have a strong community focus yet large enough to have access to all the major infrastructure such as teaching hospitals and an (newly) international airport.
About the Role
We are looking for a clinical orthotist to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. New graduate, mid-level, and senior orthotists are all encouraged to apply. Start dates are flexible prior to January 2027,
with an earlier start preferred.
About the Environment
We are a small, dynamic clinic with a strong team focus. You will be supported by our Allied Health Assistant (AHA) and orthotists and work collaboratively with families, their physiotherapists and medical specialists. Nova has a mobile van and monthly clinics to Tamworth NSW are shared amongst clinicians.
