Job Description

The Roundhouse is looking for an experienced Venue & Events professional to lead the events team. This is a unique opportunity to take on a senior venue management role, working with a diverse portfolio of commercial clients across the live music and corporate sector, paired with budgetary and creative freedom to guide the programming of student events both in venue and on the UNSW campus.

The Venue

From corporate conferences to concerts, Roundhouse is a unique venue in Sydney delivering high-quality events across the events spectrum.

The venue encompasses a concert hall, two bars, a beer garden, two lounge areas, and seven conference rooms.

Roundhouse has a diverse clientele of external hirers, partnerships with UNSW departments,



and dynamic on‑campus programming to service the vibrant UNSW student population.

The Role

We are looking for a leader whose values align with ours (you can read more on our mission and values here), who can enhance our venue offering in a competitive events landscape, harness the skills within the events team, and contribute to the growth of the business.

You will lead the events team, be responsible for managing and responding to enquiries, have accountability for event budgets, lead venue set‑ups, and be a primary point of contact for clients during events. You will contribute to the drive for commercial revenue and growth across commercial markets and steer our student events programming to build engagement with our core UNSW demographic.

Desired Skills and Experience

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced events professional who can bring strategic thinking, strong commercial acumen and a demonstrated ability to set and meet targets and drive outcomes for the venue. You will have excellent stakeholder and people management skills, have experience winning business and managing clients in a venue, and be someone who thrives in a quick‑paced environment. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

As importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our values and culture, who brings passion and positivity, and make sure their team embodies the same culture.
