Public Sector People are working with a Queensland Government organisation to recruit anAO3 Administration Officer. This role is ideal for an experienced customer service professional who enjoys working directly with the public, providing clear information and navigating a range of enquiries in a regulatory environment.
As the Customer Service Officer, you will act as a key first point of contact for customers accessing face-to-face services. You will provide accurate information and guidance across a range of enquiries, helping customers understand relevant processes, procedures and service requirements.
This is a casual temporary role for 4 weeks from 21st Sep to 16th Oct, you will work full time hours for the 4 weeks.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high-quality face-to-face customer service, information and advice across a range of enquiries.
- Assist customers to understand relevant legislation, policies, procedures, services and application processes.
- Respond to general enquiries and assist customers with regulatory, licensing, compliance and dispute-related matters.
- Undertake front counter duties and provide administrative support to the wider regional team.
- Process, collate and maintain information across multiple systems, databases and applications.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of services, policies and procedures through ongoing training and quality assurance activities.
- Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in community awareness, educational and stakeholder engagement activities where required.
- Provide professional and respectful service when dealing with challenging or sensitive customer interactions.
- Contribute to team initiatives, continuous improvement activities and the effective operation of the regional service centre.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in acustomer service, front counter, contact centre or government service delivery environment.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage with a diverse range of customers.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and explain policies, procedures or legislation in a transparent and customer-friendly manner.
- Strong administrative skills and experience working across multiple systems and databases.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately process and maintain information.
