About the Role:

We are seeking Process Technicians to support safe, reliable and continuous production with Rio Tinto at the Boyne Smelter.

These are hands-on, physically demanding roles in a heavy industrial workplace. Duties will vary and may include:

- Workplace inspections and general housekeeping
- Manual handling, cleaning and plant maintenance activities
- Working around high-temperature processes and molten materials
- Operating fixed plant, overhead cranes and other equipment
- Supporting casting and production activities
- Forklift and mobile equipment operations
- Monitoring automated plant and responding to operational issues
- Supporting maintenance, quality and isolation activities
- Completing training and following SWIs/SOPs

About YouYou will be physically capable, safety-focused and comfortable working in heat, dust, noise and high-risk industrial environments.

You will have:

- Strong physical fitness and manual handling capability
- Excellent safety and situational awareness
- Ability to follow procedures and radio communications
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights where required




- Ability to wear full PPE and respiratory protection
- Previous experience in mining, smelting, manufacturing, production, construction, labouring or other heavy industrial environments is highly regarded
- Forklift and gantry/overhead crane experience is desirable

Medical & Physical RequirementsA pre-employment medical is mandatory and includes spirometry, hearing and physical fitness assessments.

The role requires respiratory protection, regular stair climbing, prolonged walking and standing, and physically demanding manual work.

Candidates must meet all pre-employment, medical, physical fitness and operational requirements of the role to progress.
