We are seeking an experienced Quality & Compliance Manager to join our Clinical & Care Team and lead quality, compliance, assurance and workplace safety governance across our residential aged care and home care services.
Reporting to the Chief Clinical and Care Officer (CCCO), you will play a key role in strengthening our Quality Management Framework, translating regulatory requirements into practical systems, and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
About the role
This senior leadership role has organisation-wide influence, overseeing quality assurance, compliance, audits, continuous improvement, regulatory readiness and quality reporting. You will also lead the Work Health & Safety Manager and oversee the national WHS function.
You will work closely with Executive leaders, service managers, policy owners and quality teams to ensure quality, safety and compliance are embedded into everyday practice.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the governance and continual improvement of Apollo Care’s Quality Management System
- Maintain policies, compliance frameworks, quality monitoring plans and risk-based audit programs aligned with relevant legislation and standards
- Analyse audits, incidents, complaints, feedback, consumer experience and quality data to identify trends, risks and systemic issues
- Oversee corrective actions and ensure remediation is effective and sustainable
- Prepare clear, evidence-based reports, dashboards, Executive briefings and Board/committee papers
- Support aged care registration, NDIS certification readiness, regulatory monitoring, external audits and requests for information
- Monitor regulatory changes and coordinate implementation across the organisation
- Oversee continuous improvement, complaints,
open disclosure and the integration of consumer feedback into improvement priorities
- Lead and support the Work Health & Safety Manager, including oversight of WHS strategy, risk, workers compensation, injury management and psychological safety
- Coach leaders and quality coordinators in audit, evidence assessment, compliance and improvement planning
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, continuous improvement and confidence in raising risks and concerns
About you
You will be an experienced quality, compliance, governance or assurance professional with:
- A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent substantial experience
- Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration
- Minimum 5 years’ senior experience in quality, compliance, governance, risk, audit or assurance within aged care, health, disability, community services or another regulated workplace
- Demonstrated experience managing quality systems across multiple services or sites
- Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Act 2024, Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and NDIS Practice Standards
- Experience developing policies, audit programs, monitoring frameworks and continuous improvement processes
- Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical operational expectations
- Experience preparing evidence-based reports and advice for senior leaders and governance committees
Desirable: Lead Auditor or internal audit qualification; experience with quality/compliance systems such as MOA; regulatory audits and registration; complaints and open disclosure; WHS, workers compensation and injury management; and working with Executive teams, Board committees, regulators or external auditors
