About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety & Setting APAC, this is a highly autonomous role suited to someone who is self-motivated, organised, and comfortable managing multiple priorities across a large geographical region.
You will partner closely with operational and regional leaders to ensure safety compliance, build leadership capability, improve safety performance, and drive consistency across our manufacturing, Service centres, construction, and accommodation village operations.
This position will be based at our manufacturing site at Riverview, and requires regular travel throughout Queensland, including visits to regional/remote, and construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders to improve safety performance across multiple sites.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Coach and support leaders to build safety capability and accountability.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk reviews.
- Lead incident investigations and support corrective action implementation.
- Deliver safety training and education programs.
- Prepare reports, investigations, and safety performance analysis.
- Contribute to the development of safety systems, policies, and initiatives.
- Promote a positive and proactive safety culture.
About You:
- Current White Card and Driver's Licence.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a WHS role within construction, manufacturing, or heavy industry.
- Experience leading incident investigations and conducting risk assessments.
- Workplace Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator experience.
- Experience managing workers' compensation claims.
- Strong computer, reporting, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver safety training.
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
