About the Role

As Clinical Lead – Residential Services Manager, you will provide strong clinical and operational leadership across the residential aged care service. You will oversee the nursing, care and lifestyle workforce, including Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Personal Care Assistants, and Lifestyle staff.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, professional standards, organisational policies and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership

- Lead the delivery of protected, high-quality clinical care in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and professional standards.
- Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with residents and their families.
- Partner with residents, families and representatives on care planning, goals of care, open disclosure, complaints and clinical decision-making.
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance and support to all staff to ensure protected and effective care.
- Promote a person-centred approach that respects each resident's individual needs, preferences and choices.

Workforce Leadership

- Lead, support and develop the nursing, care and lifestyle workforce.
- Provide coaching, mentoring and performance support to Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Care Workers and Lifestyle staff.
- Facilitate clinical huddles and provide hands-on, bedside clinical mentoring and coaching.
- Foster a collaborative and positive working environment across the multidisciplinary team.
- Support workforce planning, budgeting, resource allocation and operational efficiency.
- Provide leadership during emergency and critical situations within the facility.

Clinical Governance & Quality

- Implement and maintain effective clinical governance frameworks.
- Monitor clinical indicators, incidents, risks and quality improvement activities.
- Lead and communicate changes to policies, procedures and clinical practices.




- Oversee the facility's clinical auditing program and ensure identified actions are followed through.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and clinical excellence.

Care Planning & Assessment

- Ensure resident assessments, care plans, reviews and clinical documentation are accurate, timely and compliant.
- Ensure care planning and documentation align with organisational policies, evidence-based standards and individual resident needs.
- Participate in clinical handovers, reviewing resident risks, assessment findings, changes in condition, deterioration concerns and care interventions.
- Support staff to identify and respond appropriately to changes in residents' health and wellbeing.
- Ensure clinical risks are identified, escalated and appropriately managed.

About You

You will be an experienced aged care clinical leader who combines robust clinical expertise with exceptional people and communication skills.

You will bring:

- Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA.
- Significant clinical experience within residential aged care.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical or residential aged care management role.
- Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and clinical governance requirements.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of clinical risk management, incident management, auditing and quality improvement.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine commitment to person-centred care and positive resident outcomes.




- The ability to remain calm, decisive and supportive in complex or emergency situations.
- Strong organisational, documentation and problem-solving skills.
