About the role

Car Wash Manager – Full-Time Monday – Friday 9-5:30

Carlovers Newcastle is looking for a hands-on Car Wash Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our busy car wash facility.

This is not a desk job. We are looking for someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves, solve problems, assist customers, maintain equipment and take pride in keeping the site operating at a high standard.

Key responsibilities

- Managing the day-to-day operation of the car wash

- Ensuring the site is clean, protected and presented to a high standard

- Assisting and providing excellent service to customers

- Monitoring and troubleshooting car wash equipment

- Carrying out basic maintenance and preventative maintenance

- Monitoring chemicals, consumables and stock levels

- Managing and supporting a small and long standing team

- Preparing rosters and overseeing staff performance

- Handling customer complaints and resolving issues professionally





The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous management or supervisory experience

- Strong customer service skills

- A hands-on and practical approach to work

- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability

- The ability to work independently and take ownership of the site

- Strong organisational and time-management skills

- The ability to lead by example and manage staff effectively

- A willingness to work weekends and outside normal business hours when required

What we're looking for

The right person will be reliable, proactive and accountable. You won't be expected to know everything about car washes from day one, but you will need to be comfortable learning how the equipment operates and dealing with problems as they arise.
