Welcome to Surfside Kidz — a warm, family-owned childcare centre nestled in the heart of beautiful Batemans Bay on the NSW South Coast. With just 44 places, we are intentionally small so that every child, family, and team member truly knows each other. Our goal is to give every child a strong start, while giving you peace of mind.

Under exciting new management, we are on a journey of renewal — refreshing our pedagogy, strengthening our community connections, and building a team of passionate educators who believe that childhood is precious, play is powerful, and relationships are everything. Our newly resourced centre has recently undergone a deep clean, fresh resources and equipment.

Role's Available:

Childcare Centre Cook:

Responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious, balanced meals and snacks that support the health, growth, and development of young children. The role requires maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness while catering to children's dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural preferences.

Early Childhood Teacher:

As our Early Childhood Teacher, you will provide high-quality, intentional teaching that supports children's learning, wellbeing, and development across our centre. You will work collaboratively with our small, close-knit team to implement the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V2.0) and embed a culture of reflective practice, curiosity, and belonging.

Key Responsibilities (ECT)

• Plan, implement, and evaluate a play-based curriculum guided by the EYLF V2.0 and National Quality Standards

• Build genuine, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues

• Lead and mentor room educators in daily practice and reflective thinking

• Maintain high-quality learning documentation and individual portfolios





• Contribute to Quality Improvement Planning (QIP) and ongoing self-assessment

• Communicate effectively with families about children's learning and development

• Uphold all regulatory requirements under the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations

• Champion the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children in your care

What We Are Looking For

• Completed Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification) (ECT Role)

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain)

• Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) — valid and in date

• First Aid certificate (including Asthma and Anaphylaxis or willing to obtain)
