NAISDA is one of eight national arts training organisations, and plays a critical role in shaping world-class Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, talent and innovation.
The Role
Is responsible for shaping and delivering integrated Finance and Corporate Services strategies that support NAISDA's vision, uphold our cultural values and strengthen our contribution to the performing arts sector.
You will work closely with the CEO, Boards and Executive Team, providing strategic advice and insights that help guide organisational decision-making and long-term sustainability.
Leading a diverse portfolio, you will oversee the organisation's finance, assets and operations and people and organisational culture functions; ensuring these areas enable excellence across NAISDA.
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated understanding of the contemporary issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the impact these issues have on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, societies and culture
- Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- CPA or CA qualified
- Extensive experience in a similar leadership role
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing financial strategies and in-depth experience in financial management,
reporting and control
- Proven problem solving capability and ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and inspire others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High levels of personal drive and energy
- Excellent strategic thinking
- Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills
- Proven business acumen and superior decision making ability
- Experience within the Not-for-Profit / Performing Arts sector
- Strong computer literacy and willingness to use/learn to use a range of online tools (Xero, MS Office suite etc.)
- Willingness to work outside of core hours as required
- Eligibility to work in Australia on a permanent basis
- Post graduate qualifications such as an MBA – desirable
