Industry Development Officer (IDO) and Production Systems Trial Officer on a part-time basis to support current IDO activities. Work hours may vary due to seasonal demands, although may be initially in the range of 20-25 hours/week, with the potential for an increase in workload in the coming 12 months. The role will also provide support for a range of DFA activities including servicing of growers and processors, on-farm trials, R&D; project management, field days/farm walks, and plant biosecurity.
Key responsibilities
- Work to a detailed annual work plan, with clear objectives, activities and expected outputs and outcomes, that reflect industry priorities
- Monitor research relating to dried grape production, particularly from the production systems trial, best practice management and emerging technologies
- Help with active communication through DFA's communication channels
- Maintain networks with researchers and other organisations and work collaboratively in helping present information at workshops and field walks
- Provide support for relevant DFA projects
- Work closely with other staff, project reference groups, Hort Innovation and other industry stakeholders as required
About you
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Own vehicle (reimbursement for work-related usage)
