Northern Health is seeking applications from motivated and experienced procurement professionals to join our Procurement and Supply Chain team as a Senior Sourcing Specialist (Infrastructure & Capital).
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded procurement professional with experience in infrastructure, engineering or construction procurement to play a key role in delivering strategic sourcing outcomes across one of Victoria's largest public health services.
Reporting to the Deputy Director Strategic Sourcing, you will lead end-to-end procurement activities for complex technical categories including engineering services, facilities management, infrastructure projects, building works and biomedical equipment. Working closely with Engineering, Facilities Management, Capital Projects and operational stakeholders, you will develop procurement strategies, lead market engagements, manage tender processes and negotiate commercial outcomes that deliver value while ensuring compliance and probity.
This role offers the opportunity to influence major infrastructure investments, collaborate with senior stakeholders and contribute to the delivery of projects that directly improve healthcare services for our community.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities for infrastructure, construction, engineering or technical services.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and contract management capability.
- Experience managing complex procurement processes including RFTs, RFQs and EOIs.
- Sound understanding of construction and infrastructure procurement models, governance and probity requirements.
- The ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into robust procurement documentation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across technical, operational and executive teams.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical outcomes.
- Relevant qualifications in procurement, engineering, construction, quantity surveying or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
