About the Opportunity

This is a flexible, part time role, ideal for a specialist looking to step into a key advisory position within a dynamic commercial environment.

Whether you are an early-career analyst/graduate with foundational exposure to trade or customs law looking to accelerate your career, or an senior trade risk specialist seeking a flexible part-time contract, our client is keen to consider a range of experience levels.

Reporting directly to Executive Leadership, you will support commercial strategy, tariff settings, trade compliance, and regulatory risk management.

Key Responsibilities

- Commercial Risk Analysis:

Assist in evaluating market trends, import pricing dynamics, and competitive risks affecting core commodity lines.

- Data & Compliance Reporting: Review import data, maintain internal compliance registers, and assist with regulatory reporting and documentation.

- Stakeholder Liaison: Support engagement between executive management, external legal advisers, regulatory bodies, and industry groups.

- Strategic Support: Help develop internal controls to manage regulatory exposure and support audit readiness.

What Our Client Is Looking For

- Foundational Exposure: Practical experience or internship/graduate exposure in trade compliance, customs regulations, international trade law, or regulatory risk.

- Flexible Entry Level: Open to candidates with 6-12 months of initial trade/customs experience through to senior trade compliance professionals.

- Qualifications: Degree in Law, Economics, Commerce, International Trade, Supply Chain, or a related field.

- Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret commercial data, import flows, or regulatory guidelines.

- Availability: Ability to work from our client's Brisbane CBD office 2 days per week (flexible on exact days).

At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all. We actively encourage applications from any background.
