Workshop Leading Hand - Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator

Location: Maddington Workshop, WA

Rapid Crushing is seeking an experienced Leading Hand Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator to join our fabrication team, supporting the Rapid Group's mobile and fixed crushing operations throughout Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified Boilermaker with proven leadership experience who enjoys mentoring others, coordinating workshop activities, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. Based at our fully equipped Maddington workshop, you will play a key role in leading fabrication projects while remaining hands-on with fabrication, maintenance, and repairs..

As a Leading Hand, you will:

- Lead, mentor and support a team of Boilermakers and apprentices

- Coordinate with the Workshop Manager daily workshop activities to meet production schedules

- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture

- Ensure fabrication work meets quality standards and project specifications

- Liaise with supervisors and management to prioritise workloads

- Carry out general fabrication and structural welding

- Complete heavy mobile plant fabrication, modifications,



repairs and rebuilds

- Fabricate current conveyor systems, fixed and mobile crushers, and screening equipment

- Lead by example while remaining actively involved in workshop operations

Essential Requirements

- Australian-recognised Boilermaker Trade Qualification

- Demonstrated experience in a Leading Hand or supervisory role

- Current Australian Driver's Licence

- National Police Clearance

- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills

- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship

Desirable Qualifications

- Rigging and Dogging tickets

- High Risk Forklift Licence

- Overhead Crane experience
