An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced SAP Finance Systems Business Analyst to join a large-scale program at AGL focused on finance transformation embracing the SAP S/4HANA Upgrade, as well as delivering an incremental uplift for finance including optimisation and recent functionalities.
Working closely with Finance and Technology stakeholders, you will assist our finance community upgrade our S/4HANA system, drive continuous improvement, optimise processes and systems, assist in user adoption of available tools and enhanced ways of working. You will ensure the finance community day to day activities are efficient and effective to enable them to make better business decisions and drive enhanced employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
• Partner with Finance and Technology teams to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
• Support the delivery of the SAP S/4HANA finance and supporting systems process and system changes as well as upgrade activities.
• Facilitate workshops and act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Analyse current-state processes and identify opportunities for process optimisation and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to solution design discussions, ensuring business requirements are translated into effective system outcomes.
• Coordinate and support testing activities including test planning, execution, defect management and business sign-off.
• Assist with change management, training, user adoption and hypercare activities.
• Develop and maintain business process documentation, training materials, and operating procedures.
• Support integration initiatives, business change programs, and finance transformation projects.

About You




You are an experienced SAP Finance Business Analyst with a strong understanding of finance processes and SAP S/4HANA related ecosystems. You can confidently engage with stakeholders across Finance and IT, translate business needs into practical solutions, and drive outcomes in complex project environments.

Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst working on finance systems or finance transformation projects.
• Strong SAP S/4HANA experience, ideally across Finance modules including SAP FICO.
• Exposure to areas such as BW, BPC, Project Systems, Assets Management or Investment Management is advantageous.
• Strong business process mapping, requirements gathering and documentation skills.
• Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, enhancements and testing activities.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and engage a broad range of stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Understanding of finance processes, controls, data governance and risk management principles.
• CPA or CA qualification, or equivalent finance background, will be highly regarded.
• Experience within large, complex organisations is preferred.
