About the role

An organised, reliable, all-round Sales Support Officer role covering the day-to-day work that keeps orders moving and customers informed, from the moment a quote is requested through to delivery. You will work closely with sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams, and directly with local suppliers, so accuracy and clear communication matter.

Key responsibilities

- Enter customer orders accurately into order management system

- Track orders through to fulfilment and proactively update customers on status, ETAs, and any delays

- Liaise with local suppliers to place, confirm, and expedite orders needed to fulfil customer requirements

- Prepare and issue customer quotes, following up as needed to convert enquiries into orders

- Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email, escalating to the sales team where appropriate

- Maintain accurate records of orders, quotes, and customer communications

- Support the wider sales and operations with general administrative tasks as required

About you

- 1-3 years' experience in a sales support, customer service, order processing, or coordination role, ideally in a distribution, wholesale, or trade environment

- Strong attention to detail,



particularly when entering orders and preparing quotes

- Clear, confident communication skills, comfortable liaising with both customers and suppliers

- Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities at once in a fast-paced environment

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and comfort learning order management or CRM systems

- A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine interest in getting things right for the customer
