About the Role
As a Glove & Barrier Lineworker, you will be responsible for the construction and maintenance of electricity distribution networks, including live-line work using glove and barrier methods, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient power supply to residential, commercial, and industrial customers across Victoria.
Key duties include:
- Construction and maintenance of overhead electricity networks
- Performing live-line work using glove and barrier techniques in accordance with industry standards and procedures
- Safe operation of plant, equipment, and tools
- Working to established safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Supporting the delivery of network reliability and customer outcomes
- Working collaboratively as part of a high-performing field team
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Certificate III in ESI Distribution (Powerline)
- Current Glove & Barrier accreditation and demonstrated experience performing live-line work
- Experience in electricity distribution construction and maintenance
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Current High Risk Work Licence
- Construction White Card
- Ability to meet project productivity and quality targets
- Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
Desirable
- Forklift Licence
- Dogging Ticket
- Chainsaw Ticket
- Additional relevant industry qualifications
