About the Roles

As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible to prepare consistent, high-quality food products in line with Hyatt Standards.

As a Demi Chef you will be responsible to supervise the assigned station/ section of the outlet kitchen, in order to prepare a consistent, high-quality product and ensure courteous, professional, effective and flexible service that supports the outlet's operating concept of classic dishes with a contemporary twist.

Key responsibilities

- Assist in food preparation, cooking, and presentation of food items, following hotel's recipes and standards

- Follow recipes and ensure consistency in food preparation for large-scale banquet events

- Maintain the assigned station / section in a clean and orderly manner at all times

- Cook and assemble dishes under the supervision of senior chefs





- Take responsibility for your specific section of the kitchen, managing the daily operations and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently

- Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation

- Contribute to the creation and development of new dishes and menus, bringing innovative ideas and suggestions to the culinary team

About you

- Minimum 1 year work experience (Commis Chef) or Minimum 2 years work experience (Demi Chef)

- Experience in luxury international brands, highly regarded

- Recent experience in a la carte dining, preferably in hotels or fine dining (Demi Chef)

- Attention to detail and a passion for food

- Qualification in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Production

- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards

- Strong culinary skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced workplace

- Demonstrated in-depth skills and knowledge of kitchen operations (Demi Chef)

- A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a quick-paced customer service environment
