What we’re looking for
You don’t need previous aquarium or fish food experience — we can teach you that.
More importantly, we’re looking for someone who:
- Is reliable and consistently turns up on time
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Can follow recipes, measurements and procedures accurately
- Works efficiently without cutting corners
- Is comfortable doing repetitive production and packing work
- Keeps their workspace clean and organised
- Can work independently once trained
- Is physically capable of lifting boxes and ingredient bags
- Has a positive attitude and is happy to help the team
- Takes responsibility for their work
Previous experience in warehouse work, food manufacturing, production, packing or dispatch would be highly regarded.
An interest in aquariums or fish is a bonus, but definitely not required.
What the work is like
This is a genuinely hands-on role.
Some days you may spend several hours producing and packing fish food. Other days you may be packing orders, receiving pallets, organising stock or helping with general warehouse jobs.
You’ll be working around powdered ingredients and fish food ingredients, so you need to be comfortable getting your hands dirty and occasionally going home smelling a little like fish!
We’re a small and growing business, so we value people who are flexible and willing to jump in where they’re needed.
Opportunity to grow
We’re looking for someone who can eventually become a key part of our production operation.
For the right person, there is an chance to take on more responsibility as Purefin grows, including managing production schedules, stock levels and larger-scale manufacturing.
How to apply
Please send through your resume along with a short introduction telling us:
1. A little bit about yourself
2. Your previous work experience
3. Your current availability
4. Why you think you’d be a good fit for the role
We care much more about finding someone reliable, switched-on and hardworking than having the perfect resume.
