SALARY – $130,000 - $160,000 (Dependent on Experience)

LOCATION – Adelaide, SA
My client designs complex, high-tech products and systems within the Defence sector. They are looking for a Systems Engineer to join their team in Adelaide on a permanent basis.
The Systems Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
Proven experience in a Systems Engineering position within the Aerospace & Defence sector
Degree qualified in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Marine Engineering or a related discipline
Robust experience with requirements engineering, including capture, decomposition, traceability, verification and change management
Robust experience across Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Experience with system integration, integration planning, Verification & Validation (V&V;)
Experience with configuration management and baseline management processes
Experience preparing engineering artefacts to support formal design reviews, including SRR, PDR, CDR and acceptance activities
Previous experience leading or mentoring engineering teams would be highly desirable
Robust stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills
Applicants must be Australian Citizens and be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
The Systems Engineer role will involve:
Working across Model-Based Systems Engineering activities across the product development lifecycle
Leading system integration planning, Verification & Validation (V&V;) activities
Developing and maintaining Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and managing system interfaces
Supporting configuration management and baseline control throughout development
Producing and maintaining systems engineering documentation and technical data packs
Preparing engineering artefacts and technical evidence for formal design reviews including SRR, PDR and CDR
Working closely with customers and key stakeholders to ensure project requirements are achieved
Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex, high-performance defence systems
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to the ongoing growth of the engineering function
