Location: Alphington, Victoria
Salary: $75,000 + Super
Job Type: Full-Time | Monday to Friday

Cater Care is seeking a Second Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, high-volume catering.

This is a hands-on role with chance to develop leadership capability while working in a structured, supportive setting. You will be involved in daily kitchen operations, staff support, and maintaining consistent food quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
Overseeing kitchen operations, staff supervision, training, and rosters
Performing all aspects of kitchen work, including bulk cooking and tray service
Preparing high-volume meals to specification with consistent quality and presentation
Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, WHS, and cleanliness standards




Acting as a liaison between Front of House and kitchen teams

About You
Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (preferred or willing to obtain upon commencement)
Previous experience as a Chef or Second Chef in a similar environment
Robust organisation, multitasking, and time-management skills
Confident communicator with the ability to support team coordination
Working With Children Check and National Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain)
