We are looking for a passionate and reliable Full Time Cook to join our kitchen team at 7 Cutz Steakhouse Newcastle. In this role, you will work closely with the restaurant management and support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality meals. If you have an eye for detail, a solid customer focus, and a desire to maintain high culinary standards, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and finish a range of dishes, including premium steaks, ribs, and accompaniments in line with restaurant specifications.
Assist in maintaining consistent food quality, portion control, and meal presentation standards.
Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements, including HACCP standards.
Support kitchen operations by monitoring stock control and helping to minimise wastage.
Perform effectively in a quick-paced, high-volume service workplace during peak trading periods.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or relevant commercial kitchen experience.
Previous hands-on experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or steakhouse environment.
Sound knowledge of food safety standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Skills & Attributes
Ability to work under pressure and multi-task efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
High attention to detail and creativity in meal presentation.
Flexibility to work wide-ranging shift times as required by the roster.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
