Milestone IT is partnering with a major national retail leader to secure a hands-on Lead Integration Designer for a high-visibility integration program.
This role requires a strong technical leader to own the end-to-end integration design across all business and technology streams—including Merchandising, Supply Chain, Stores, eCommerce, Finance, and Data. You will bridge the gap between enterprise architecture and detailed technical execution, translating complex requirements into robust interface designs for project and BAU delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
Integration Design & Architecture: Own the end-to-end integration landscape, designing patterns, orchestration, transformations, APIs, and batch/file flows across GIS, IBM DataStage, and IBM App Connect.
Hands-on Technical Leadership: Work directly at the interface level (field mappings, triggers, dependencies, error handling) to produce transparent, build-ready integration contracts and specifications.
Cross-Stream Dependency Ownership: Collaborate with application SMEs, vendors, BAs, and architects to evaluate existing integration patterns, challenge isolated stream designs, and manage upstream/downstream dependencies.
Delivery & Testing Support:



Guide developers through build phases, support estimation and environmental setup, lead integration readiness across SIT/E2E testing, and oversee cutover/transition planning into operational BAU.

What You Need to Succeed
Proven Enterprise Experience: Demonstrated track record of leading complex, end-to-end integration designs in a large-scale enterprise setting (retail experience highly regarded).
Deep Middleware Expertise: Hands-on experience with GIS, IBM DataStage, and IBM App Connect, alongside strong knowledge of API, event-based, ETL, and batch integration patterns.
Technical Rigor: Ability to operate at both the high-level architecture view and the granular field-mapping/reconciliation level.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Confidence to constructively challenge vendor solutions, direct technical teams, and drive decisions across multi-stream settings.
